About The Roastery
If you’re a coffee lover then you have probably heard of The Roastery at Bella Barista, based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. They source the best quality Arabica coffee beans from around the world making sure their suppliers get the best deal. They then roast all their espresso blends and single origins in small batches in their very own Roastery in Northamptonshire.
A customer of Barton Telecom for around 10 years, we have been there to oversee expansions to the business and to ensure that they are getting the most out of their communication services..
Requirements
The customer was running a Panasonic NCP 500 telephone system with various old analogue lines attached to it. They were constantly having faults on the lines, which kept reoccurring after Openreach resolved them. They were running on a basic FTTC broadband which was being pushed to its bandwidth limits due to the extra staff and machines on the computer network. The customer’s focus was to upgrade the broadband service and then look to take full advantage of it by migrating to a VoIP phone system.
Solution
Barton Telecom had an initial conversation about what options were available to The Roastery. We jointly decided that a dedicated leased line was going to be ideal for them. This would instantly improve their current broadband situation, whilst providing enough space for future growth, with many projects planned on the horizon. The next stage was to see how they could utilise the leased line by migrating their problematic phone lines to the cloud. We suggested a VoIP cloud phone system which would work by plugging into their computer network and running thought the new leased line. This would allow them to have the flexibility to move users around easily while also offering them the option of remote working.
Impact & Advantages
The customer had a new gigabit leased line installed which has allowed them to migrate their servers and phone system to the cloud. The new leased line has given them some really fast broadband speeds and fantastic reliability due to the 4-hour SLA included for them.
The new VoIP phone system has allowed the customer to be in full control of any moves and basic programming changes that are required. The flexibility of the VoIP telephone system has meant they can now manage customers calls much more efficiently which has also improved the all round caller experience.
