Leased Lines

As more and more services move into the cloud, a reliable, fast Leased line is perfect to handle all cloud solutions. Leased lines are the fastest internet connection available. They come with bandwidth ranges from 10mb to 2GB.

Leased lines are uncontended circuits, which means your bandwidth is completely reserved for you, guaranteeing your speeds. Leased line faults take priority over FTTC & FTTP, so down time is kept to an absolute minimum, with 24-hour monitoring in place.

Choosing Super-fast Broadband for your Business

FTTP vs FTTC

FTTP offers higher speeds than the FTTC services as it is a full fibre circuit from the exchange to your office. Full fibre products are very reliable as they do not run over the degrading copper network. Speeds range from 40mb to 1gb.

FTTC is a high speed broadband circuit that uses fibre optics from the exchange to the street cabinet. SoGEA is a new FTTC variant which doesn’t carry any dial tone. All traditional FTTC products will need upgrading to SoGEA or FTTP by 2025 at the latest. SoGEA broadband circuits are very reliable as they bypass 2 problematic parts of the telephone exchange used to generate dial tone. Speeds are up to 80mb.

Business Broadband Types FAQs

Put simply, broadband is an internet connection that varies in speeds and allows you to transfer data and files all over the world.

FTTC stands for ‘fibre to the cabinet’, which means fibre to the cabinets out on the street and then copper cable into the premises.

FTTP stands for ‘fibre to the premises’, which means fibre all the way from the exchange into your premises.

FTTP is the faster and more reliable of the 2 products, as there is no copper involved and this degrades over time. Though to find out whats best for your business, feel free to contact us today.

Bandwidth is a term that refers to the amount of data that can be transferred from one place to another in a specific time frame. Bandwidth is measured in bits (kilobits, megabits, or gigabits). Bandwidth is very important if you’re using cloud telephony, because not having enough will cause calls to break up.

A leased line is a dedicated fibre service installed directly into a premises. It has fixed speeds with the upload and the download speed matching. Leased lines are commonly found in businesses that require fast speeds with quick fault response times.

Leased lines can be more expensive than other business broadband options due to their higher installation costs and monthly fees. The price will vary based on bandwidth, location, and provider.
